Much better than the price of the stock shadowline pieces. If there were any advantage to removing the trim, I would have had them do it. Removing the trim would have just created a ton of unecessary work. The car is 100% covered, and all the rubber trim/seals were pryed away from the metal part of the trim to allow for complete paint coverage on the metal without overspray onto the rubber/vinyl seals. There is really zero advantage to removing the trim. Your car looks great - 100x better with the new trim color. I found your thread right before I dropped my car off to be painted. Youre right, they could have spent all day pulling out the interior to take the trim off instead of just spending a couple hours taping. This also includes painting the matte black part of side mirrors. Pretty much up to the owner of the car and his choice on how much/which option he wants to go for.

E92 trims get damaged if removed? where did you get that from? i've had my trim removed once and it came out no problem, all you need is little understanding of how clips are connected and how patient you are.
